This tutorial details how to post images in the Gallery section of the DRCC Forum. We recommend that you upload images to the Gallery first providing they are suitable, but feel free to post them in the forum for discussion with other members. You can find out how to do this
here.
1. This tutorial assumes that your photos are already on the internet. If they are not, you need to upload them to our Gallery or upload them to your own web space. DRCC recommends either creating your own
Flickr or
Photobucket account.
2. Assuming that you are using Internet Explorer, right click on the desired photo and click "Properties".
3. A little window should popup detailing the images properties. There should be an entry mid way down called "Address (URL)". Select the address next to this with your mouse and either press "Ctrl" and "C" together on your keyboard, or right click and press "Copy". You can now close this pop-up window.
4. We now have our picture URL - the unique address where the picture "lives" on the internet. If you paste it into a post ("Ctrl" and "V", or right-click and "Paste") it will look something similar to this:
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3047/266 ... 3e.jpg?v=05. This is all well and good - clicking this link will take us to the picture location, but it doesn't look very attractive. We need to "tell" the forum that we want to display the image that lives at this address, not the address itself.
To do this, we "wrap" the image with tags. Paste the image location again, and type "img" before and "/img" after the URL with square brackets instead of the quotes after it, with no spaces. Alternatively, paste the URL and highlight it with your mouse. Then click the "Img" button above the text entry box.
Now when you click "Submit", instead of the image address you will have the following:

We're finished! If your still experiencing difficulties ask another member for help - they will usually only be too happy to give you a hand.
