Note: Due to revisions to the gallery system, images may now take upto a day to appear on the club website.Here's how to upload to the DRCC Gallery via Flickr.
Flickr is an image and video hosting website, web services suite, and online community platform. It was one of the earliest Web 2.0 applications. In addition to being a popular Web site for users to share personal photographs, the service is widely used by bloggers as a photo repository. As of November 2007, it hosts more than two billion images.

WikipediaThe whole process is fast and very, very easy.
1. First, point your web browser to
http://www.flickr.com
2. Click "Sign In" at the top of the page. The username is "
dudleyradiocarclub@yahoo.co.uk". Please
send a PM to Andy Fletcher to be provided with the password if you do not already have it.
3. Click "Upload Photos".
4. Click "Choose Photos" to be presented with an Open File dialogue box - select your photo, or hold down the "Ctrl" key on your keyboard and use your mouse to select multiple pictures. When you are happy with your selection, click "Open".
Alternatively, if you are experiencing difficulties with the uploader, select the Basic Uploader and select your pictures one at a time as shown below:
We have chosen one photo - you may have chosen many. Ensure that the privacy settings are set to "Public (anyone can see them)" - this is very important. When you are happy with your selection, click "Upload".
5. You will now be presented with the following screen - your pictures are being transferred. This may take a few minutes, so why not make a cup of tea?
6. Success! Our image(s) are now available on Flickr. Give it a suitable title, and if necessary, a meaningful description. Our picture is of Andy Moore's HPI, so we may assign a title of "Andy Moore's HPI" and a description of "Andy Moore parks his HPI on the grid".
7. We need to assign out photo to a set. A set is like an album where we will store photos that are related. Below, we have created a set called "Professional Drivers". If a similar set already exists then select that set. If a suitable set does not exist, then please create one giving it a suitable title.
The image below shows how to create a new set, and the one below that shows us adding to an existing set:
Click "Save This Batch" to save your uploaded photo(s) to the set.
8. Now we can see all of the photos on our account. A quick glance to the right show us a list of sets. Notice our "Professional Drivers" set, with our single photo inside.
9. Right, we're finished! Please click "Sign Out" at the top right hand corner of the screen. You will be asked if you want to sign out of the Yahoo! Network too - please click the link to sign out.
10. We're finished with Flickr. Head over to
http://www.dudleyradiocarclub.co.uk.
11. Click on the link for "
Gallery" on the left hand side.
12. Assuming that all has gone according to plan we can see our set, "Professional Drives", listed with the other sets.
13. Clicking on the "Professional Drives" set will display all of the images inside it.
14. Finally, clicking on a thumbnail will load the full sized image.
Whew! Thats it, well done! We hope you enjoyed uploading your pictures. Please remember the following however when uplaoding photos to Flickr:
* The password can be distributed to DRCC club members only - please don't give it to anyone else or post it on the boards - if you want to give the password to another DRCC member please do it via a PM (Private Message). It goes without saying, please don't change the password.
* This is very much an experiment - anyone found to be misusing the account, either to store obscene images or images not related to DRCC will be banned and the service may have to close.
*Please don't create a new set unless you have to. For example, don't upload your photos to "Joes Photos", instead put them in "Member Rides".
* Please always ensure that you sign out after you have finished uploading your photos.
* Don't edit or delete anyone elses photos, either to create space for your own or otherwise.
