Dudley Radio Car Club is looking for keen roving reporters to create content for its new website. If your particularly handy with a camera or pen and paper then we want to hear from you! Alternatively, if you aren't great at either why not have a go anyway and improve your skills at the same time. We are interested in members old and new to capture the action from race night both in the form of photos and videos and provide regular updates to the site via news articles and forum posts. We will also be looking for moderators to help run the forum.

both myself and my wife have run my our own websites/forum in the past and have helped run others aswell so if you need any help moderating the forum give us a shout it may take me a little bit of time getting up to date with a few things ie the newer cars, spec and new electrics but im sure that wont take to long.
my wife says she will take some vids and pics for the site when she comes over with me she aint david baily but she will do her best she says.
i can also give help and advice for any computer issues aswell as i build pcs in my spare time

But at the moment the forum is not really used to its full potential, should this change, I am sure we will welcome you as a moderator.

Re the photos and videos, thats great. At the moment we only give the upload details for those to Club Members, so as soon as you know you love our club and pay the nominal fee which also includes BRCA insurace we will be more than happy to give you those details so that you can upload yourselves. Until that time if you want to burn them to a disc we can do that for you. Also if the data is an SD card i have my netbook with me most weeks.

Also the PC help, thanks again. Myself and Andrew Fletcher that both mainly run this site both have very broad IT backgrounds.

I have been associated with IT since I was 14, and have been IT Support / Network Support / Network Admin over a number of years. But I am not at the moment as I have a cousin that is seriously Ill and I help care for her at home coming racing is one of the times I get a bit of a break.

Andy is a bit younger than me, but his skills are also very good to say the least, ive seen so many people much older than Andy that dont have half the skills or knowledge he does.

It sort of breaks down like this.

Me Technical / Hardware / Troubleshooting / OS's. Some programming mainly PHP and C++ as I used to teach them.

Andy Hardware / Various Programming Languages / OS's / Web Design

Bottom line Keith, I do not want you to think that we don't want your help, we do. It's just at this point in time me and Andy have all bases covered. You know the saying too many cooks. Even me and Andy disagree at times, but we fight it out on the badminton court every wednesday night. LOL.

As things go forward and you get more involved in the club, we will definatly find you something to get your teeth into if you are keen.

thats cool buddy i totally understand about to many cooks lol and il be around for a while i can tell with the response i have had already from you guys and all the help/advise you have given me
i will be a full fledge member in the next couple of weeks thats for sure i wont be able to till then cus i am addicted to buying bits of ebay and iv overspent a little lol but needs must i have loads of stuff to get so i am competative again lol
